Our client is a private Engineering and Design Consulting firm. We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with Dust Collection Systems and Hazard experience.
Candidate is preferred to be in Memphis, TN, but remote is available for an experienced person across the US, and relocation is available to Memphis, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed onsite assessments to observe material handling processes, documenting performance concerns and developing system design options.
- Prepare an Engineering Study or Concept Design report and presentation for customers addressing various design options and cost considerations that best achieve NFPA-compliant dust collection.
- Implement dust collection system designs developed utilizing AutoDesk programs with detailed drawings
- Prepare documents for issue to bid and construction packages.
- Communicate with customer,contractor and equipment vendors throughout the design process.
- Provide support for systems commissioning
- Provide training to facility personnel on identifying dust hazards, proper dust control practices, and emergency response procedures
- Travel is required domestically at around 30%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, safety and health consulting, process safety with combustible dust processes and equipment.
- Professional Engineer license, PE (nice to have) or EIT.
- Experience in food or wood industry is highly preferred.
