Our client is an engineering design and fire protection consulting firm with offices in the south east.

Role is remote with upto 40% travel nationwide. Roles are full time salary with full benefits.

Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a full-time Industrial Process Safety (preferably and Engineer) with dust hazard consultative experience.

Responsibilities:
Conduct field survey on processes, hazards and existing mitigation methods
Evaluate material test reports to determine classification and hazard level of combutible particulates
Perform engineering calculations to determine severity of hazard and adequacy of existing and proposed protection
Perform dust hazard analysis (DHA) for industrial/manufacturing and warehouse clients.
Write and review DHA reports
Subject matter expert for clients on combustible dust testing practices, material sampling, test methods and interpretation of results
Lead training course for clients
Review proposed design for new powder handling and processing systems
Overnight travel within North America 30%-40%

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Fire Protection, or related field required
Minimum 3+ years of experience in process safety with combustible dust
Professional Engineer license, PE or EIT (nice to have)

Job description

The Applicant shall provide IA and technical expertise for information systems, systems engineering, STE, legacy operating systems, laboratory equipment, and avionics systems/sub-systems-related modernization and sustainment programs supported in the B-2.

Essential Job Functions:

The Applicant shall be the IA security official responsible to support in coordinating and obtaining security approval for sanitization and secure handling procedures for avionics line replaceable units and STE driven by sustainment and modification programs.

The Applicant shall apply in-depth knowledge of various computer and electronic systems, from Windows and UNIX-flavored operating systems to avionics and test equipment hardware.

The Applicant shall advise and assist with implementation of DoDI 5205.11 and Department of Defense Manuals (DoDM) 5205.07, Volume 1-4 as well as JSIG regulations for SAP IA oversight and management of computer and avionics equipment.

The Applicant shall assist with IA security oversight and approval of modernization program equipment directly tied to software integration, operations and implementation schedules for new capabilities for the warfighter. All of these capabilities directly affect the maintenance and improvement of aircraft availability.

The Applicant shall support development and approval processes for PPPs, AT plans, ATO requests, and other milestone decision and design documentation reviews as required.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics or science related to cybersecurity plus 15 years of experience or a Master’s degree plus 12 years is required.

SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – COMSEC HARDWARE

The company is seeking a versatile embedded COMSEC/Information Assurance hardware engineer to join our talented team supporting the design and manufacturing of our Space and RF products. As a hardware engineer, you will be directly involved in the design, integration, and test of secure mesh network satellite communication links, digital telemetry, signal processing, and encryption technology. The successful candidate will perform design and architecture engineering functions with an emphasis in COMSEC and crypto processor designs. In this capacity the candidate will support the space communication and encryption product line in development efforts for programs and IRAD projects.

Essential Functions:
• Hardware design of satellite communications systems, with an emphasis on COMSEC and RF designs
• Assist with the capture of next generation communications security business opportunities including development of concept whitepapers, technical solution conceptualization and proposal support.
• Coordinate with system and design teams to ensure architecture meets intended requirements.
• Prepare and present technical data at internal and customer reviews.

Qualifications:

Job description

The applicant shall serve as an Avionics/Electrical Engineer with particular emphasis in Radar and Electronic Warfare for application to B-52 military operations.

Essential Job Functions:

The applicant shall support aircraft information management systems requirements, testing, certification, and spectrum management requirements, testing, and certification. The applicant shall use knowledge of Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements, policies, and regulations to assist in defining requirements, complete CNS/ATM compliance matrices, and support testing and certification of aircraft and supporting systems. The Contractor shall communicate with other engineering functionals including but not limited to structures, crew systems, EMI, reliability and maintainability, manufacturing, and system safety.

The applicant shall support the development and integration of platform software requirements to include mission planning.

Support information management assessment and authorization to include development of security controls, test approaches, and risk identification and mitigation to obtain an IATO or ATO.

Senior FPGA Design Engineer

SUMMARY
Our client is looking for a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join a multi-disciplined design team (electrical engineers, systems engineers, scientists, etc) to design, develop, simulate, and integrate challenging FPGA designs in support of our radar product line.  As an FPGA Engineer on the team, you will work to with signal processing experts to realize MATLAB designs in state-of-the-art FPGAs in support of a fast paced, multi-disciplinary design team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze, design, simulate, and implement algorithms in hardware descriptor languages, HDL (VHDL, Verilog), based on requirements and/or MATLAB model(s).
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplined design team to design and integrate DSP applications for latest System on a Chip (SoC) implementations such as Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+, Intel Stratix-10, and Xilinx RFSoC.
  • Analyze, design, and implement VHDL test benches for code validation and validation against models.
  • Perform design constraints generation and verification as well as evaluate synthesis and timing performance reports.
  • Implement and validate signal processing concepts such as FFTs, digital filters, digital modulation, digital down/up-conversion, adaptive processing, etc. into either new or existing modular HDL designs.
  • Analyze, design, simulate, and implement designs which interface to common signaling standards, typical IP hard macros such as SERDES, PLLS, etc. and/or protocols such PCIe, JESD204B, LVDS, etc.
  • Develop and maintain requirements documents, functional specification documents, interface control documents, etc.
  • Generate and maintain engineering drawings and configuration management policies for FPGA project hierarchy.
  • Develop project test plans and test procedures, provide test planning support, and assist in the execution of both lab testing and field testing.
  • Provide occasional technical support and/or field support planning, and other field support in general if needed.
  • Conduct experimental tests on latest FPGA and SoC evaluation boards, evaluate results, and then develop specifications for selecting next-generation components for deliverable systems.
  • Interact with outside customers, suppliers, and functional peer groups.
  • Some travel and work at remote sites for limited time periods may be occasionally required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive experience with at least one FPGA Integrated Design Environment tool set such as Xilinx Vivado and Mentor Graphics ModelSim
  • Experience in signal processing theory and/or communications systems and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in resolving real world problems
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related
  • Experience with MATLAB signal processing environment
  • Experience writing test software in C/C++ or assembly language to validate design
  • Experience with hardware integration, test and debug tools (high-speed logic analyzers, scopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
