California Equal Pay Act Protection: An employer shall not prohibit an employee from disclosing the employees own wages, discussing the wages of others, or inquiring about another employee§s wages.
California Labor Code Protection: No employer may require, as a condition of employment, that an employee refrain from disclosing the amount of his or her wages, or that an employee sign a waiver or other document purporting to deny the employee the right to disclose the amount of his or her wages; additionally, an employer may not discharge, formally discipline, or otherwise discriminate against an employee who discloses the amount of his or her wages.
California Equal Pay Act Protection: An employer shall not pay any of its employees at wage rates less than the rates paid to employees of the opposite sex for substantially similar work when viewed as a composite of skill, effort, and responsibility, and performed under similar working conditions.
