Process Engineer (2)

Our client is an international supplier of industrial gases and process plants. They are seeking new or recent graduates with a degree in engineering to assist in designing air separation and chemical plants.

Are you highly motivated individuals to join our client’s fast‐growing company? The position offers hands‐on learning and is part of a process engineering team executing capital projects, supporting bid development, and providing engineering support. The successful applicant can work on active projects with the guidance and mentoring of our senior engineers, or as a manager, a mentor of an evolving team.

Responsibilities
• Process cycle synthesis and selection, PFD development, process simulations
• Process specifications for front end purification systems, catalytic reactors, packaged systems, heat exchangers, vaporizers, and steam systems.
• Cryogenic distillation system design preferred
• Process specifications for machinery, control valves, and pressure relief system
• Hazard and operability reviews.
• Assist with the development/management of the project P&ID’s, functional logic tables,
safety valve specification, and operating procedures/training manuals.
• Participate in the hazard review process and other safety evaluations (SIL and Fault Tree
Experience a plus)
• Assist with management and provide input into the plant design by reviewing the 3D piping
model and overall facility arrangement (Plot Plan).
• Plant commissioning support, flow sheet checking, performance tests, troubleshooting,
validation, and plant start‐up

Qualifications
• BS or MS Chemical Engineering (Other engineering majors considered with applicable
experience considered)
• Desired experience would be in new plant engineering with an emphasis on plant operations, startups, and safety.
• The applicant should possess or have the aptitude to acquire a balanced multi‐disciplinary
understanding of process engineering, process systems, and process safety.
• The applicant must communicate effectively and seek out technical expertise as required.
• Travel may be required, both domestic and international. Travel will include trips to plant
sites, and equipment fabricators. (Estimated at 0‐15%/year).

Structural Design Engineer

Responsibilities
 Design steel cold box structures, pipe racks, and all other structural elements of process plants
 Produce plan, section, and elevation drawings of structures with sufficient detail needed for vendor
bid packages and for vendors to produce fabrication drawings
 Perform stress analysis on structures to validate designs
 Develop shipping and lifting requirements for equipment from 5 to 500 metric tons
 Make technical recommendations and review vendor drawings and specifications
 Follow established AISC standards
 Participate in departmental training programs/seminars and on-line training
 Ensure projects comply to schedule and budgetary requirements
 Work efficiently as part of a team with leadership and excellent communication and interpersonal
skills.
 Resolve technical project issues, reviewing and making quality recommendations
 The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with solid planning and organizational skills
 Reports to Mechanical Design Department Manager

Qualifications
 Degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized technical institute required
 Proficiency in CADWorx 3D and AutoCAD or BricsCAD design software is required
 Experience with cryogenic piping, cold boxes, and the Industrial Gases Industry is a plus
 Experience with Robot, Tekla, and/or other industry standard structural design software
 Experience with Hilti design software and RAM Connection software
 Understanding of pipe stress and pipe supports
 PE license a plus

Engineering

P&ID Drafter

Responsibilities
• Develop new piping and instrumentation diagrams and modify existing P&IDs using
AutoCAD and BricsCAD, following company nomenclature and standards
• Read and understand P&ID mark‐ups from Engineering
• Make thorough and accurate modifications to drawings and return drawings to Engineering
on a timely basis
• Follow company procedures to ensure that all drawings have the proper approvals before
releasing updated drawings

Qualifications
• Relevant experience in the industrial/chemical industry preferred
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent
• Experience reading and understanding P&ID’s
• Familiar with P&ID symbology in general and ISA instrumentation symbology in particular
• Highly experienced working with AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of Symbol Cell Library in AutoCAD
• Experience with CADWorx, BricsCAD, and SolidWorks is a plus
• General experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Experienced in managing the revision process for P&ID’s and other drawings

Senior Electrical Manager

Are you an Electrical Engineer w/10 years+ and have a strong foundation of experience in design engineering, regulatory compliance, electrical power control ? Do you have hands on experience troubleshooting, construction inspection, commissioning support, and providing proposal or business development support?

Our client is seeking a SR EE preferably w/PE and whose experience is with MV motors, transformer & switchgear design, soft starters, US and International codes and standards (ATEX, NEC, UL, etc.), programming, low voltage MCC, large synchronous motors up to 30,000 HP industrial heaters, and plant design in the Industrial/Chemical Industry.

Responsibilities include: development of single line diagrams and schematic drawings; developing purchase specifications; obtaining vendor quotes; preparing electrical construction specifications; performing bid evaluations; approving vendor drawings; supervising, start‐up testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment installations in new process plants including hydrogen plants, ASUs, and other gas plants; contributing to plant proposals for business development; construction management during plant design and construction.

Professional engineering licenses are a plus.

Process Control Manager

Description

Our Client is seeking a highly qualified, motivated individual to join our fast‐growing company. This position is part of an engineering team executing capital projects, supporting bid development, and providing engineering support for our client’s family of companies. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the engineering team responsible for designing and building our client’s plants.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with project team to refine project scope and requirements.
• Defining software/hardware architecture requirements.
• Developing detailed functional design specifications.
• Configuring DCS, OPC, PLC, and SCADA components.
• Reviewing control panel wiring diagrams.
• Perform factory acceptance testing of hardware and software.
• Assist with the development of the project P&ID’s and operating procedures/training manuals.
• Participate in the hazard review process and other safety evaluations (SIL and Fault Tree preferred).
• Commissioning the complete control system.
• Plant commissioning support, piping and flow sheet checking, performance tests, troubleshooting, validation, and plant start‐up which includes travel to domestic and international locations.

Qualifications

• BS/MS Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience. Desired experience would be in new plant engineering with an emphasis on plant operations, startups, safety and field operations.
• Experience in air separation, specialty gases, or petrochemical industries is a preferred.
• Substantial recent working experience with Siemens PCS7 System. Experience with ET200SP HA  hardware, and Profinet is a plus.
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell Automation, Yokogawa, ABB, or Honeywell a plus.
• Skilled in DCS, PLC, and HMI programming.
• Experience interfacing various control systems to OPC Server applications and communication to other control systems via OPC. Knowledge of general purpose OPC Server applications from Matrikon or OSI PI is desirable.
• Experience integrating control systems with MES, Data Historians, ERP, and other data systems.
• Experience with FDA Validation is a plus.
• Has had primary responsibility for delivering plant control systems on time.
• Working knowledge of electrical design and panel design.
• Working knowledge of process instrumentation and instrument application.
• Has specified and ordered control system components.

  • Knowledge of General Accrual-based Accounting Ledger including intercompany, consolidation, footnote and work paper preparation.

Document Control Administrator – filled

Responsibilities
• Manage the filing and distribution of all drawings and documents for all projects executed
by the engineering group
• Ensure that all documents have the proper approvals before issuing the documents within
the company or to external vendors or customers
• Act as a point of contact between the engineering group and all vendors
• Receive all incoming submittal drawings and documents from vendors, save copies on the
company file servers, and distribute them to the engineering group
• Organize document submittals on the company file servers for ease of use
• Send all engineering commented drawings and documents back to vendors
• Track document revisions and maintain an up‐to‐date revision log of all documents issued
by the engineering group
• Assemble vendor documents into a plant equipment and component manual at the end of a
project
• Maintain an accurate record of all document transmittals for each project
Qualifications

Electrical and Instrumentation Designer

Responsibilities
• Basic design and detailed design of low and medium voltage electrical systems for process
plants
• Produce detail drawings of LV and MV systems, cable and conduit schedules, cable tray
routing and specification, elementary diagrams, instrument wiring diagrams, DCS panel
design, instrument installation details, and installation specifications
• Coordination with other disciplines, other departments, and external agencies
• Familiar with all safety rules and regulations, attend required safety trainings and to
participate in the required safety programs
• Review vendor drawings and integrate electrical requirements into project electrical drawings
• Review sub‐contractors’ electrical designs, wiring drawings, and RFIs for electrical supply in
accordance with applicable design codes, datasheets, and specifications
• Technical review of vendor quotations in compliance with project requirements
• Report to the Electrical Engineering Manager and can work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

Responsibilities
 Develop models of equipment and structure to produce 3D plant designs
 Generate orthographic and isometrics drawings, MTOs, arrangement details, and location plans
 Support engineers on projects for operating facilities and develop layouts and drawings for
equipment, including plan, sections, and elevations
 Support proposal work by developing conceptual plant layouts and generating orthographic views
 Check vendor drawings. Make necessary corrections and coordinate submittals as instructed
 Follow established CAD standards and guidelines for the industrial gases industry

 Work with other departments and work groups as needed
