Our client plays a critical role in global supply chains, innovating and delivering essential products in a wide variety of end markets and applications such as building and construction, fertilizers, plastics, solvents, packaging, paints, coatings, adhesives, and electronics.
The Maintenance Reliability Engineer works closely with field Maintenance Engineers, Project Engineers, operating area personnel, and all levels of the Maintenance organization to ensure the safe and profitable operation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide analysis of failed equipment to determine and eliminate cause
- Develop and implement Reliability Control Plans
- Advise on proper execution and documentation of repair and preventive maintenance (PM) activities for fixed equipment
- Identify and interface with preferred equipment manufacturers, specialists, and technical support consultants
- Draft maintenance job plans for specific repair activities
- Maintain and update maintenance documentation (e.g. repair reports, bill of materials, upgrade recommendations) for critical plant equipment
- Prepare formal technical reports to document repair actions, failure analyses, equipment, and process improvements and inspection findings
- Gather, interpret, report, and manage plant reliability metrics
- Support equipment installations/upgrades by ensuring design-for-maintainability and reliability are incorporated into projects
- Develop and maintain job plans for specific repair activities
- Ideally Fixed equipment but opne to looking at rotating equipment too.
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Six Sigma Green Belt certified preferred
- 5-10+ years of experience in chemical/petrochemical plant maintenance and/or reliability engineering experience with SAP work management system and drafting/design software
- Foundation of work in an Union environment preferred
