Regional Sales Engineer

Our client is an American company that provides industrial processing solutions to design, build, and commission bulk-processing systems. The Regional Sales Engineer provides in-plant consultation to customers and creates sales opportunities. Reporting directly to Director of Sales & Marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the assigned region.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing sales.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to customers, including product presentations, demonstrations, and technical consultations.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to potential customers.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events and network with potential clients.
  • Keep CRM updated with new accounts and contacts, project notes, and sales pipeline projections.
  • Report on sales activities, progress, and market conditions to the Director of Sales & Marketing and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • BS Engineering (open to non-degreed with experience)
  • Experience in pneumatic conveying and dust collection systems
  • Experience in sales and/or inplant experience
  • Efficient computer skills with an understanding of CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and/or AutoCAD.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and provide effective solutions.

Territory – South Carolina, Western North Carolina, Western Virginia, Eastern Tennessee and West Virginia

Ideally based – Charlotte, NC or Ft. Mill, SC servicing the I-77 Corridor. Willingness to travel 12 days per month, with the majority being overnight travel.
Compensation – 1st year = salary 90K-$125K, then switch to salary + commission after one year is completed.
